Ricky did an amazing job with the audio in both the music and voiceover, the effects used on the still images and the overall video portrait. It makes me want to revisit my video to review my audio and transition effects. Ricky included different shots like pans, close-ups; he included still images and B-Roll. I love the music and it matches well with the theme. The music gives the feeling of a cooking or travel show on the Discovery Channel. :)

The video had a good story and told it well as far as her love for food and where it came from. Have you considered adding a shot of her with her family eating as a B-Roll? I think that would also emphasize where her love for food came from. I did see a shot that looks like she may be at the dining table, but it was somewhat dark and I couldn't tell if it was really her sitting at the table. I would suggest revisiting that one shot to make it clear.

Since it is a Video Portrait, I would like to suggest adding more shots of the main subject, Dana. Towards the end we are watching her making the empanada which is great, but it would be nice to see her face, possible talking as she is making the empanada vs. a voice over. I feel this would personalize the video because we will feel like we are getting to know her.  We also get to see more of her pretty face and her characteristics as she describes her culture. 

Overall it was great! I enjoyed watching the video.
